Dan has been actively competing in AKC agility since 2004. A student with Karen, since she moved to Florida, Dan competes in both AKC and USDAA at the Masters/Excellent levels. He started out with his shelties, Zoey and Diego, eventually earning 4 and 2 MACHs on each dog, respectively. Dan has competed at AKC Agility Nationals a number of times, making the finals in 2011 with both Zoey and Diego, where Diego placed 5th. Last year, his current dog Stella, a Border Collie, made the finals at her debut AKC Nationals in the competitive 20” division. Dan has also attended the AKC World Team Tryouts four times; twice with Zoey (2010 & 2011) and twice with Stella (2012 & 2013). Most recently, Stella earned both her first AKC MACH and a USDAA MAD title. Dan continues to train and work towards both this year’s AKC Nationals and World Team Tryouts. Dan is also having fun training his young Border Collie named Piraat.
