WINTER AGILITY CAMPS – JANUARY 2026

We are excited that Mary Ellen Barry will be joining us once again for a series of camps!

January 10 and 11: 2 Day Camp: Coursework Camp – International Skills Broken Down – Shorter Sequences to Build Success for the future. All equipment will be used. Dogs should be proficient on all equipment to attend this Camp.

January 12: Handling Basics – Spend ½ the day on a jumpers course and ½ the day on an agility course working basic handling such as front cross, rear cross, blind cross, lateral push, and deceleration. Teams will switch instructors for the afternoon session. Dogs should be proficient on all equipment.

January 13: Discriminations – Spend the AM honing in on discrimination testing and proofing your dog’s “listening” skills. Switch instructors for the afternoon and test your skills in sequence. All equipment will be used. Dogs should be proficient on all equipment.

January 14: Reverse Start Lines – Learn the training behind reverse start lines and then test your new skill in the afternoon session. Teams will switch instructors for the afternoon session. All equipment will be used. Dogs should be proficient on all equipment.

January 15:  DAY OFF

January 16: Backsides – Spend the AM honing in on the use of the proper physical cues, combined with your verbal to understand how to effectively cue backsides.  Switch instructors for the afternoon and test your skills in sequences. Only jumps, tunnels and weaves will be used. 

January 17:  Threadles – Spend the AM honing in on the use of the proper physical cues, combined with your verbal to understand how to effectively cue threadle slices and threadle wraps. Switch instructors for the afternoon and test your skills in sequence.  Only jumps, tunnels and weaves will be used.

January 18 and 19: 2 Day Camp:  International Coursework Camp – Courses will consist of about 20- 25 obstacles and will be the equivalent of the highest level seen in the US. Dogs should be proficient on all equipment.
